Mission

To foster authentic human connection in all its forms, by building community around me and creating technology that helps people lead better lives.

Current role

I'm Director of AI Teammates Engineering at Asana, managing 23 engineers across 3 teams. This is a pure manager-of-managers role – I work through team leads rather than owning an IC scope directly.

I took on AI Teammates in October 2024, before the product reached general availability. In my first weeks I identified scope misalignment in the GA plan; we refocused on reliability and core capabilities and shipped on time. Execution reliability went from 86% to 99%, and retention exceeded our launch targets.

On the partnerships side, I built and led Asana's vendor relationships with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Mistral. Asana was featured in Anthropic's Claude 4 launch video and was among the first companies to ship a production MCP server.

Before AI Teammates, I led AI Retrieval – building the RAG platform from a single search feature into the shared platform that now powers all of Asana AI.

Career Highlights

I began my career in politics, including work on the digital team for the Obama-Biden Transition Project, where I helped launch the new WhiteHouse.gov. From there, I joined Weber Shandwick, helping clients translate complex policy and technology topics into plain-language digital strategy.

In 2015, I shifted to engineering full time – first at Shift, a car marketplace startup, where I was engineer #9 and led deployment of a recommendation engine that increased conversion by 25%. Since 2019, I’ve been at Asana. I started on the AI Retrieval team, scaling the RAG platform from early experimentation to a shared layer that supports every AI feature in the product, then moved into the Director role for AI Teammates in 2024.
